Therapy for Individuals

People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons, at different times in their lives. Healing often happens much faster when we connect with another in a safe space, with the shared goal of alleviating suffering and feeling well. There are no set rules as to when a person should seek therapy. Some of the most common reasons people might see Linda are to relieve emotional distress, depression, anxiety, grief or loss, trauma symptoms, or low self-esteem. There are also no hard and fast rules as to how therapy will progress, as each person comes to therapy with their own life experiences and ways of seeing the world, which need to be honoured and respected. Linda will typically assess and collaborate with clients to create a flexible treatment plan that draws from a range of modalities including EMDR, Mindfulness-based therapies, Parts work, hypnosis, CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy.

EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, an evidence-based treatment for trauma and much more. If you have experienced any events in life that have had a lasting negative effect on you, EMDR is a great treatment option.

Group Therapy for New Mums

Linda co-facilitates a group for mums with babies up to a year old, funded through Lifeline and the Sydney North Primary Health Network. The group is free for mums with a valid referral from their GP. Click here for more information about the group and the referral process.

Supervision

Linda is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor, and an EMDR Consultant-in-Training.  She is available for supervision to psychologists, social workers, and any other mental health professionals.
